Man, 38, seriously hurt after falling 30m at Perak waterfall


IPOH: A 38-year-old man was seriously injured after falling on a rock at a waterfall in Buntong here.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the victim slipped and fell 30m onto a rock at Buntong Falls here at about 11am on Saturday (July 11).

"The victim was at the waterfalls with a female friend. He injured his head and has cuts on his body," he said in a statement.

"He was still conscious and was given initial treatment by Health Ministry personnel.

"He was brought out from the area on a stretcher before being sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital on an ambulance for further treatment," he added.
