"As of 10.30am, I can confirm that 4,257 early voters have cast their ballots, representing 36.3% of eligible police voters in Johor," he told reporters after he cast his vote at the state police headquarters here on Tuesday (July 7).

"So far, the early voting process has been running smoothly at all 53 centres in Johor," he said, adding that most were located at district police headquarters.

When asked about a police report lodged against former Johor State Assembly speaker Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zakarshi, Comm Ab Rahaman said the matter was still under investigation.

I cannot comment further as there are many aspects we are still examining," he said.

On election-related offences, Comm Ab Rahaman added most investigations were about vandalism of campaign materials including party flags and billboards.
