THE NATIONAL Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) continues to be committed to strengthening the culture of saving among the community through the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN).

In line with these efforts, various initiatives and promotional campaigns are being implemented continuously to encourage saving practices, including the rollout of the Prime Bonanza Draw campaign.

This campaign is a token of PTPTN's appreciation to depositors who continue to choose Simpan SSPN Prime as their primary savings option and to foster the practice of saving continuously for the future education of the Malaysian generation.

The campaign is divided into two categories: the Platinum category and the Gold category.

The promotion period starts from July 1 to Oct 31. The corporation is offering nearly RM500,000 worth of prizes for 106 winners.

To participate in the campaign, depositors need to open or top up their savings during the campaign period. Every net savings of RM100 for Simpan SSPN Prime will get 10 draws.

Users who make savings via myPTPTN, salary deduction or direct debit will get 20 draws.

Depositors must ensure that the account remains active and they cannot make withdrawals or transfers of savings during the retention period starting from Nov 1 until Jan 31 2027, from any account deposited during the campaign period.

PTPTN chief executive officer Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid said, “The Prime Bonanza Draw campaign is a manifestation of PTPTN’s ongoing commitment to appreciating the trust and loyalty of depositors who choose Simpan SSPN Prime as an education savings instrument.

“This campaign not only offers attractive rewards to depositors but also encourages more parents and members of the community to develop the habit of saving consistently as early preparation to finance their children’s higher education.”

PTPTN also celebrated the grand winners of the Wow! Simpan SSPN Plus 2026 Draw and the New Slay! Simpan SSPN campaign.

The winners of the grand prize in the Wow! Draw Category Plus Series 1 won a cash prize worth RM20,000 and the main winner of the Slay Draw 1 category won a Yamaha NVX 155 motorcycle.

The prize presentation session was held at the winner's residence and was officiated by Ahmad Dasuki. Also present were PTPTN communications and marketing department senior general manager Wan Zawiah Wan Abu Bakar, PTPTN Negeri Sembilan state director Yushanaliza Hamdan and PTPTN Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur state director Ahmad Shahril@Muhammad Shahrir Ghazali.

Simpan SSPN is a savings product that offers various privileges and benefits. These include income tax relief of up to RM8,000 per year, takaful protection for depositors, a free matching grant of up to RM10,000 for an eligible family, competitive dividend rates, government-guaranteed savings and Shariah compliance.

In conjunction with Budget 2025, the government has agreed that the criteria for granting matching grants on savings in the Simpan SSPN Prime account for students pursuing their studies at higher education institutions will be extended to families with an income of more than RM4,000 to RM6,000 for a period of two years under the Kindness Matching Grant Initiative (GAPAI).

Eligible depositors can now apply for a matching grant of up to RM5,000 for a family.
