Startup grant opens for  applications

PUTRAJAYA: The Startup Accelerator Grant Assistance Programme (Uyarvu Madani) is open for applications.

Aimed at strengthening the Indian business community, it offers grants of between RM20,000 and RM50,000 to support entrepreneurship.

Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) said the programme is open to entrepreneurs from the B40 and M40 income groups.

“A total of 700 entrepreneurs are targeted to receive Uyarvu Madani grants and business development support to help entrepreneurs enhance their competitiveness and expand their businesses,” it said.

Applications are open until 5pm on July 13, it announced in a Facebook post yesterday, Bernama reported.

However, it added that applications will close earlier if 1,500 submissions are received or upon expiry of the application period, whichever comes first.

Uyarvu Madani is one of six new initiatives introduced under Mitra for 2026, involving a total allocation of RM65.5mil.
