Thunderstorm warning issued for six states until 3pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for six states, with heavy rain and strong winds expected until 3pm on Sunday (June 28).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected areas in Peninsular Malaysia are Kuala Muda in Kedah; the Southwest, Northeast and Seberang Perai Utara districts in Penang; Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau in Negri Sembilan; and the whole of Melaka.

In Sarawak, the warning covers Kuching, Serian, Samarahan and Sri Aman.

In Sabah, the affected areas are Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan in the Sandakan division, as well as Pitas and Kudat in the Kudat division. – Bernama
