Johor Reset Movement divisions to join Parti Wawasan Negara

JOHOR BARU: All 26 Reset Movement divisions in Johor are set to become part of the newly-minted Parti Wawasan Negara as it looks at contesting the state polls, says Datuk Zulkifli Bujang.

This was confirmed by the Johor Reset Movement coordinator, who also revealed that the newly-formed party was considering possible political cooperation or understanding with other parties ahead of the state election.

He added that Parti Wawasan Negara was expected to announce the names of candidates and the seats it intends to contest soon.

Zulkifli also said the party would serve as a platform to continue the reform agenda championed by Gerakan Reset Malaysia in a more structured and effective manner.

“Parti Wawasan Negara is not merely a political party but a continuation of the Reset Movement’s struggle,” he added.

Zulkifli said movement, founded by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin following his dismissal from Bersatu in February, had successfully attracted support from various segments of society.

Members of the movement shared a common aspiration with Parti Wawasan Negara to see a more equitable nation that was prosperous and better governed, he added.

He said the party also aimed to help build a “new national consensus” capable of uniting Malaysians from diverse backgrounds for the country’s future.

On Saturday, Hamzah announced that Gerakan Reset Malaysia would operate under Parti Wawasan Negara as part of efforts to strengthen political cooperation with PAS and other like-minded parties in the country ahead of future elections.
