15-year-old boy reported missing after running away from Ulu Kelang Tahfiz school

AMPANG: Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a 15-year-old boy who went missing after running away from a Tahfiz school in Ulu Kelang.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Khairul Anuar Khalid confirmed that a missing person report was filed for Muhammad Daniel Azizan Abdullah, who was last seen leaving the school premises at approximately 8.15pm. on Friday (June 12).

"The boy's mother filed the report after being notified of his disappearance by his teacher," ACP Khairul Anuar said in a statement on Sunday (June 14).

He noted that neither the mother nor the school staff could identify a specific motive or incident that might have prompted the teenager to leave.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Insp Nur Alia Dyana Raimi, at 017-6515201, or the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters at 03-42897222. Alternatively, information can be provided at the nearest police station.

ACP Khairul Anuar also advised parents to remain vigilant regarding their children's activities and to contact the police or the MERS 999 emergency hotline should they encounter any emergencies.
