KUALA LUMPUR: Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin brushed aside PAS' decision to end its political cooperation with Bersatu, joking that his party is fine with the development "as long as they don't accuse us of being behind it."
In a light-hearted remark when asked to comment on the development in opposition coalition Perikatan Nasional, Khaled said Umno had nothing to do with the apparent falling out between the two parties.

"Every time something happens, they say it is Umno's doing. Umno is good," he told a press conference after the Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pendidikan (AKP) 2026 at Wisma Perwira ATM here on Tuesday (June 9).
On Monday (June 8) night, PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party had terminated its political cooperation with Bersatu, marking a new development in the country's political landscape ahead of upcoming state elections and the 16th General Election.
Hadi said the decision was made during a special meeting of the party's central working committee after taking into account the outcome of its syura council meeting on June 2 regarding the status of political cooperation with its Perikatan partner.
