Jackie Chan greets M’sian vlogger with ‘apa khabar?’

A MALAYSIAN travel and food content creator had a rare encounter with superstar Jackie Chan in China where the latter greeted him “apa khabar?” in Bahasa Malaysia, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The 72-year-old actor, who is the tourism ambassador for China, recently visited an event in Guilin city, Guangxi.

The Malaysian content creator, known as Trayson, was there at the same time and managed to spot Chan as he was leaving the venue.

Unable to believe his luck at meeting his childhood idol, Trayson ran to greet him.

“I love you. I’m from Malaysia,” he said.

Even though he was moving quickly and was surrounded by a team of bodyguards, Chan responded to him.

“Hi Malaysia! Apa khabar?” he said. The gesture left Trayson stunned and delighted.

“I was so nervous that I forgot to reply ‘khabar baik’,” he said.

> A factory worker in Guangdong, China, was so engrossed in his phone while working that he fell into a lift shaft, China Press reported.

CCTV footage showed a man pulling a pallet trolley and looking at his phone while waiting for a cargo lift to arrive.

Just as the lift doors opened, without checking whether the lift had actually arrived, the man entered with the trolley while still looking at his phone.

He stepped into an empty space and tumbled down together with the trolley.

The entire accident unfolded within just a few seconds, with netizens saying that it was shocking to watch.

Fortunately, his colleagues noticed something was wrong and rushed the man to hospital.

He escaped serious harm and made a full recovery.

The video sparked widespread discussion over the safety of the cargo lift.

“If the lift hadn’t arrived, how did the door open?” one Internet user wrote.

Others, however, blamed the factory worker for being careless.
