MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 7pm (June 3)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 7pm on Wednesday (June 3).

In a warning issued at 4.45pm, MetMalaysia said the affected areas are Perlis and parts of Kedah involving Sik, Baling and Kulim.

It said the warning also covers parts of Kelantan involving Tumpat, Pasir Mas and Kota Bharu as well as Terengganu involving Hulu Terengganu and Dungun.

In Pahang, the affected areas are Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin.

In Sarawak, the warning covers Kuching (Kuching), Serian, Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song, Kapit and Bukit Mabong) and Bintulu (Tatau).

In Sabah, the areas affected are the interior (Keningau and Tambunan), the west coast, Sandakan (Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat (Kota Marudu and Pitas).
