PETALING JAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has consistently underscored the need for good governance, a firm stance against corruption and efforts to curb the concentration of wealth among a select few, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said the King had always emphasised the need for orderly governance and fair wealth distribution.
"Under Your Majesty's reign, efforts continue to strengthen democratic processes and uphold the rule of law.
"The Government remains committed to implementing fair and equitable policies to ensure balanced distribution across all states and territories, particularly for the poor and marginalised," said the Prime Minister in his speech at the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with His Majesty's official birthday celebration at Istana Negara today. The government. said the Anwar, is built on the strength of unity and loyalty among the people, despite challenges such as economic uncertainty, global tensions and rising geopolitical complexity.
Under the King's reign, Malaysia will continue to move forward with order and confidence, guided by the principles of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy, said Anwar.
"The government remains firm and resolute, strengthened by the people’s loyalty and unity, and driven by the shared spirit and determination to build the nation despite prevailing challenges and racial divisions," he said.
Anwar explained that this reflects the wisdom inherited from our forefathers and the nation’s independence fighters.
"It was through this sacred spirit of consensus that the Federal Constitution was established, upholding the institution of the monarchy as the protector of Islam while guaranteeing justice and equality for all Malaysians," added the Prime Minister.
