Negri man, 46, wins RM33.9mil jackpot

KUALA LUMPUR: Strong intuition led a 46-year-old man to a Toto jackpot windfall of RM33.9mil.

The grocery buyer from Negri Sembilan struck the Supreme Toto 6/58 Jackpot, winning RM33.9mil with his favourite set of numbers on Wednesday (May 27).

The winner, who has been playing Sports Toto games for decades, said this was the first time he had won a major prize.

He shared that he regularly participates in every draw and usually spends about RM20 per draw, especially when the jackpot amount increases.

According to the winner, the winning combination — 3, 7, 10, 38, 42 and 52 was one of his favourite number sets, having bet on it consistently for the past few months, although he would occasionally mix and match different combinations from time to time.

“Last week, I had a strong feeling that I was going to win something big and my intuition turned out to be right,” he said.

The winner only discovered his good fortune totalling RM33,908,263.95 after a friend alerted him that someone had won the Toto jackpot. Upon checking his ticket, he was shocked to realise that he was the jackpot winner himself.

“I was so happy that I could not sleep the entire night.

"I kept checking my ticket to make sure that my numbers had struck the jackpot,” he said.

Still trying to process the unexpected windfall, the winner said he would need more time before deciding how to utilise the prize money. He said one of his immediate priorities would be to settle all of his outstanding debts.
