Three nabbed, 25,000 litres of diesel seized in Pandamaran raid


SHAH ALAM: Three men were detained in a raid on a syndicate suspected of illegally storing diesel worth about RM119,000 in Pandamaran, Klang.

Selangor Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry enforcement chief Mohd Hanizam Kechek said the 1pm Wednesday (May 13) raid was conducted jointly with the police.

The raiding party uncovered rubber hoses for fuel transfer, skid tanks, a tanker lorry and a bonded lorry carrying 1,000-litre intermediate bulk container tanks.

"Three local men aged under 40 were detained after being found around the premises during the raid.

"They are believed to be  lorry driver and attendant, as well as the caretaker of the premises.

"The three were found to be without valid documents to possess and transport controlled goods, namely diesel and were detained for statement recording under the Control of Supplies Act 1961,” Hanizam said in a statement on Thursday (May 14).

Hanizam said the 25,000 litres of seized fuel, equipment and vehicles were worth a total of RM328,000. – Bernama
