Man shot dead outside Skudai entertainment centre

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A man was killed while another was injured in a shooting outside an entertainment centre here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said police received a report on the incident from a 27-year-old local woman at about 11pm on Friday.

“Initial investigations found that the shooting took place in front of an entertainment centre in the Taman Industri Jaya area in Skudai.

“One local man, aged 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, while another 27-year-old local man sustained gunshot injuries,” he said in a statement yesterday.

“The victim is urged to come forward to assist in investigations. We are also tracking down two suspects who remain at large to assist in further investigations,” he said.

ACP Kumarasan said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
