HE was unhappy that his wife was overweight, so he killed her with poison he bought online, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The man, identified only as Kiran from Andhra Pradesh, India, apparently started avoiding his wife after she gained weight.

She suspected him of cheating, leading to frequent arguments.

Fed up, Kiran allegedly decided to end the marriage. He is said to have spent about 80,000 rupees (RM3,319) on poison, which he used to drug his wife before suffocating her with a pillow.

Police grew suspicious during investigations and questioned Kiran, who confessed to the crime. He has been arrested and is awaiting charges.
