Woman killed after car crashes into parked bus on MRR2

KUALA LUMPUR: A fatal traffic collision killed one woman and injured another after a car crashed into a parked bus on the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the accident occurred on Monday (May 4)

“At the time of the incident, the car was believed to be travelling in the left lane before the driver allegedly lost control, veered off, and crashed into the back of a bus. The bus was parked by the roadside without any warning signs, with the bus driver nearby.

“The female passenger of the car suffered severe chest injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical assistant from Selayang Hospital.

“The male driver of the car suffered head injuries and was taken to Selayang Hospital for treatment and is currently in the emergency and trauma ward,” he said.

Investigations showed that the driver and the passenger were engaged.

“The driver’s blood sample has also been taken for toxicology testing, and both vehicles involved have been seized for further investigation,” he said.
