Sijangkang health clinic temporarily closes after storm damages roof

PETALING JAYA: The Sijangkang health clinic has closed temporarily after its roof was damaged in a storm.

The Selangor Health Department said rainwater began entering the clinic's outpatient unit after the roof leaked during the storm at about 4.15pm on Saturday (April 25).

In a statement on Sunday (April 26) the department said no injuries were reported.

"Immediate action was taken, including contacting Tenaga Nasional Bhd to restore electricity supply and appointing a contractor to carry out repairs," it said.

It added that a district engineer would conduct further assessment of the building structure soon.

"To ensure safety and continuity of services, the Sijangkang health clinic will be temporarily closed for repairs.

"Patient care services have been redirected to nearby facilities, namely the Kebun Baru, Teluk Panglima Garang and Sijangkang Luar clinics," read the statement.
