Man, 35, goes missing after quarrelling with wife

MELAKA: A 35-year-old man has gone missing after leaving his home following an argument with his wife.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said the man, identified as Muhammad Hazman Supian (pic, below), was reported missing after walking out of his house in Taman Sutera Wangi, Batu Berendam here on April 14.

He said the man was believed to have left abruptly without taking any belongings or a vehicle, raising concern over his safety.

"At about 2.30pm on April 14, the 35-year-old complainant, who is also his wife, found her husband had left the house.

"His last known location was traced to Jalan TU 64 in Ayer Keroh here before his mobile phone was switched off,” he said on Friday (April 17).

ACP Christopher Patit said efforts by the wife to reach him proved unsuccessful as his phone remained inactive, complicating attempts to track his whereabouts.

"Further checks revealed that the man’s debit card was used at a petrol station in Tun Kudu here at 10.11pm on the same day.

"CCTV footage showed him walking from the direction of SMK Bukit Katil towards a petrol station at 9.26pm.

"Muhammad Hazman was later seen entering the premises, using the restroom and purchasing food,” he said.

ACP Christopher Patit added that the man was last seen leaving the area on foot and crossing towards Taman Pengkalan Jaya here, after which Muhammad Hazman could no longer be traced.

"Despite ongoing efforts, including checks with close family members, the man has yet to return home," he said.

ACP Christopher Patit described Muhammad Hazman as about 170cm tall, weighing 46kg, fair-skinned, slim-built, with short black hair.

"He has a tattoo on his left hand and a prominent mole on the right side of his nose," he said.

Members of the public with any information are urged to contact investigating officer Sjn Masli Ali at 016-338 8846 or report to the nearest police station.
