Warisan reps deny claims of receiving govt allocations

KOTA KINABALU: Opposition Parti Warisan assemblymen have denied allegations that they are receiving government allocations, describing the claims as false.

“Warisan assemblymen do not receive any such allocations as alleged. These claims are deliberately false and aimed at tarnishing our reputation,” said seven assemblymen in a joint statement.

The assemblymen are Azhar Matussin (Darau), Edna Majimbun (Inanam), Tham Yun Fook (Likas), Loi Kok Liang (Api-Api), Samuel Wong (Luyang), Datuk Junz Wong (Tanjung Aru) and Chin Tek Ming (Kapayan).

They warned that those responsible for spreading the false claims could face legal action and urged the public to be discerning and not be misled by malicious propaganda.

“Despite lacking allocations, we will continue serving the people with integrity and responsibility,” the statement read.

Parti Warisan, which won 25 of the 73 state seats in the November 2026 state election, remains in opposition to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-led coalition state government.
