Motorcyclist seriously injured in six-vehicle pile-up on LDP

PETALING JAYA: A six vehicle pile-up on the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) has left one motorcyclist seriously injured.

In a statement Saturday (April 11), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said that the accident occurred on Friday (April 10) morning along KM5.4 of the LDP.

Preliminary investigations showed that a vehicle suddenly changed lanes to the right in order to avoid colliding with a vehicle in front that had stopped abruptly.

"A motorcyclist was seriously injured during the multiple vehicle pileup and is currently receiving treatment at the Sungai Buloh Hospital," he said.

He added that statements from the drivers have also been recorded.

"The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.
