Ipoh City Council to take stern action against roadside litterbugs

IPOH: A video purportedly showing two men in the midst of dumping garbage bags by the roadside has gone viral. In the 16-second video uploaded on Facebook on Sunday (April 5), one man could be seen discarding the bags by the side of the road while another held on to the opened car boot.

The incident is believed to have occurred at Taman Ipoh Timur near Bercham. A voice in Cantonese could be heard in the video questioning why the two men threw the plastic bags there and not in front of their home.

In a short message reply, Housing and Local Government Ministry Minister Nga Kor Ming said the Ipoh City Council will be taking stern actions on the matter.
