Cops arrest robbery gang behind RM3.6mil gold heist


GEORGE TOWN: An armed robbery gang associated with the theft of gold valued at RM3.6mil has been dismantled following the arrest of nine individuals during multiple raids conducted across the state.

Penang police chief Comm Datuk Azizee Ismail said the operations, conducted from March 26 to April 2, were carried out at several locations in the Barat Daya and Timur Laut districts, leading to the arrest of seven local men and two Indonesian women, aged between 23 and 43.
