KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today paid tribute to the Road Transport Department (JPJ) on its 80th anniversary and called on the agency to further strengthen enforcement and enhance service quality to maintain public confidence.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said increasingly complex road conditions demand continued firmness, accountability and efficiency from the department.

"Happy 80th anniversary to JPJ. Over eight decades, the department has indeed played a vital role in ensuring the nation's transport system operates in an orderly and safe manner, in line with public needs and evolving demands," he said.
