Tangkak cops probe viral clip of dispute between two families

TANGKAK: The police have identified a video showing a disagreement between two families in two vehicles, which took place in Tangkak town here on Wednesday (March 25).

Tangkak deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Jamellulkamal Abdul Halim said the video attracted interest from netizens after it was uploaded to Facebook.

“Our investigation found that the incident involving the two families took place in front of a fruit shop along Jalan Utama Muar-Tangkak due to a dispute,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

DSP Jamellulkamal said the police did not receive any reports from either party, nor any reports regarding road accidents or traffic offences in relation to the case.

“The two families decided to resolve their issues amicably without involving any action from the police,” he added.

DSP Jamellulkamal reminded the public to refrain from speculating or spreading unverified information about the case.

He also urged the public to contact the Tangkak District Police Headquarters operations centre at 06-978 5222 if there are any cases involving public safety or public order.
