Teenage boy dies after falling from building in Shah Alam


SHAH ALAM: A teenage boy died after falling from a building in Seksyen 19 on Tuesday (March 24).

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Ramsay Embol said police received a report on the incident at about 6.44pm.

"The victim was found unconscious by members of the public at the ground level of the building before being rushed to Hospital Shah Alam for treatment," he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 25).

He added that the victim was later pronounced dead by medical personnel at the hospital’s red zone.

"Preliminary investigations at the scene found no elements of foul play, and the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR)," he said.

ACP Ramsay said a post-mortem would be conducted on Wednesday (March 25) at Hospital Shah Alam to determine the cause of death.

He urged those with information on the incident to contact the investigating officer, Insp Zulhusni Hasani, at 011-3936 0779, or the Shah Alam district police headquarters at 03-5520 2222.
