Senior officer steps in to help injured motorcyclist


PETALING JAYA: A motorcyclist received immediate assistance after skidding along a Parliament slip road when a senior traffic police officer on patrol stopped to help.

The incident occurred at about 10pm on Saturday (March 21), the first night of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, as Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa was conducting Op Selamat 26 patrols.

According to a Facebook post on the department's official page, Mohd Zamzuri witnessed the accident while patrolling Jalan Parlimen.

The motorcyclist is believed to have lost control and fallen, sustaining minor injuries.

Mohd Zamzuri immediately stepped in to provide initial assistance and ensured the situation at the scene remained safe and under control.

Photos shared in the post also showed members of the public stopping to help, including assisting the injured rider in tending to his wounds.

The department described the incident as an example of proactive leadership that strengthens public confidence in the police force, particularly in assisting accident victims and ensuring road safety.
