IPOH: A total of 34 accident-prone locations or "black spots" have been identified across Perak for enforcement and monitoring by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) under Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Perak JPJ director Mohammad Yusoff Abustan said each district has been assigned specific duty points along seven main corridors throughout the state.
He said enforcement vehicles would patrol these areas while conducting spot checks to let road users know of JPJ officers' active presence on the ground.
This approach aims to increase the perception of enforcement presence so that road users become more disciplined and comply with traffic regulations.

"The duty points are located at identified areas considered high-risk for road accidents.
"A total of 244 officers and personnel will be on duty throughout the operation from today until March 29," he told reporters here on Monday (March 16).
Yusoff said the department also conducted bus inspections at depots from Friday to Sunday (March 13 to 15) as a preliminary measure to ensure all public transport vehicles are in good condition and comply with all safety and technical requirements.
"Throughout the operation, the focus will be on nine major offences that frequently contribute to road accidents.
"The offences include exceeding the speed limit, failing to obey traffic signals, overtaking on double lines, driving in the emergency lane, not wearing seat belts or helmets and queue cutting," he said.
