IPOH: Follow-up action has been taken following claims that teacher had been bullied at a school in Perak recently.
In a statement on Saturday (Aug 8), Perak Education Department director Zulkafli Mohamed Mokhtar said action had been taken on the matter at SJKT Ladang Changkat Kinding since March.
He said action was taken together with the district Education office over the issue that went viral on social media.
"The department takes every complaint received seriously and remains committed to ensuring that all complaints are handled professionally, transparently and in accordance with regulations and procedures, to safeguard the well-being of teachers.
"Follow-up action has been taken, including engagement sessions, reviews, monitoring and coordination with the relevant parties to ensure that every matter raised receives due attention," he said.
Zulkafli added that the department would continue to prioritise the welfare and well-being of all parties involved, while ensuring smooth operation and harmony within the school environment.
"The department remains committed in managing every complaint fairly, with integrity and responsibly in the best interest of the education community," he added.
It was earlier reported that a teacher from a school in Chemor had taken to social media with claims of being bullied, intimidated and subjected to emotional pressure at the school.
