IPOH: Perak State EXCO Member for Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Datuk Khairudin Abu Hanipah has urged a teacher and a school administration in Chemor to reconcile after an official investigation dismissed allegations of workplace bullying and psychological pressure.
Speaking after launching the Todak Academy (Perak) Digital Education Hub on Saturday (Aug 8), he confirmed that the investigation into the online allegations has been completed and the case officially closed.
"The District Education Office and Perak Education Department have concluded their probe, and the findings are as stated in the Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa)," Khairudin said, adding that investigators interviewed the complainant, school administrators, and affected staff.
"The investigation found the allegations unsubstantiated, and the complaint has been closed in accordance with Education Ministry circulars," he added.
Khairudin called on both parties to meet face-to-face, adopt a "give and take" approach, and cease airing grievances on social media, emphasising that prolonged conflict ultimately harms students.
"Our core mandate is the excellence and development of our students. If both sides remain locked in conflict, the students become the victims," he said.
Addressing claims that the teacher suffered seizures due to work stress, Khairudin declined to comment, stating that medical matters must be left to healthcare professionals.
"I am not in a position to comment as it is outside my field. The teacher has sought medical attention, and we should wait for the official medical report rather than make assumptions," he said.
The teacher had previously taken to social media with claims of being bullied, intimidated, and subjected to emotional pressure at the school between March and May.
