Actress and hubby remanded

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have remanded an actress and her husband over an alleged fraud case involving the sale of cattle.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sazalee Adam said the actress was remanded for three days until tomorrow, while the husband’s remand ended yesterday.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus, when contacted, confirmed their arrests.

He was reported to have said earlier that they were linked to an investment scheme involving the sale of cattle.

Both were previously investigated for fraud in Negri Sembilan.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahim said earlier that a businessman lodged a report claiming that he was cheated in a deal involving the sale of gifted land lots in Selangor, resulting in losses of RM1.5mil.

Investigations into the report then led to their arrests on March 4 in Kampung Sungai Serai, Hulu Langat.
