Anwar joins Layang-Layang residents, PH candidates for breakfast

KLUANG: On the second day of the 16th Johor state election campaign series, Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim spent time in the “PMX Santai Sarapan” programme in Simpang Renggam near here.

On Sunday (July 5), the Prime Minister arrived at about 8.40am at Warung Pak Din and was greeted by supporters and PH campaign machinery who were there as early as 7am.

Anwar spent almost an hour having breakfast, socialising and taking photographs with the public.

Also present were PH candidate for Machap seat, Nur Hafiz Roslan, and Layang-Layang candidate, Guna Balakrishnan.

In this polls, PH is fielding candidates in all 56 state seats consisting of 20 PKR, Amanah (19) and DAP (17) representatives.

Overall, the Johor polls are seeing a total of 172 candidates contesting for the 56 seats, with the Election Commission (EC) setting July 11 as polling day, while early voting is on July 7. – Bernama
