Dr Wee provides funding for community activities in local mosques, surau in Ayer Hitam

PETALING JAYA: Every year during Ramadan, a familiar gesture comes from MCA Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Ayer Hitam MP provides funding to local imam and bilal to support communal activities at the 29 mosques and 88 surau across his constituency.

“This year marks my 22nd year serving as the MP here.

“I am glad to continue providing allocations to support the programs and activities organised by mosque and surau management during the holy month of Ramadan.

“May these programmes run smoothly and benefit all,” Dr Wee said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (March 4).

Also present at the event was Datuk Samsolbari Jamali, who is the Semarang assemblyman in the Johor state assembly.
