PETRONAS committed to further O&G collaboration with Sabah, says Hajiji


KOTA KINABALU: PETRONAS is committed to exploring further collaboration aimed at expanding Sabah’s participation in the oil and gas industry, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

The Chief Minister said this after a briefing by PETRONAS president and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz at Menara Kinabalu here Tuesday (March 3).

Muhammad Taufik briefed the Chief Minister on potential strategic partnerships and the current status of PETRONAS’ operations in the state.

He also updated Hajiji on PETRONAS’ ongoing relief efforts to support the state government in assisting communities recently affected by floods in Sabah.

The PETRONAS delegation included executive vice-president & CEO of Gas & Maritime Business Datuk Adif Zulkifli, senior vice-president of Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) Datuk Bacho Pilong, group strategic relations and communications vice-president Norafizal Mat Saad and senior officials.
