Cops detain two men for stealing pipe components from building in Kluang


KLUANG: Two local men were arrested after CCTV footage surfaced of them allegedly stealing pipe components from the back alley of a building in Kluang.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said in a statement police received a report of the incident on Thursday (Feb 26) at 12.40pm

"The two suspects were apprehended on the same day by the roadside at Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz Awab, Kluang Baru at 5.40pm," he added.

ACP Bahrin said initial investigation showed one of the suspects has a previous criminal record and three drug-related offences.

The other suspect has no previous criminal or drug-related records.

"Urine tests on them tested negative for drugs and they have been remanded to assist with investigation," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
