'No changes', Mas Ermieyati says she remains PAC chair

KUALA LUMPUR: Masjid Tanah MP Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin remains as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman.

The Bersatu MP confirmed the matter when met in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 26).

“So far (as I am concerned) no changes. I am still with the PAC,” she told The Star.

Mas Ermieyati recently resigned as the Bersatu Masjid Tanah division chief.

It was reported that the resignations were made with 39 other division committee members, according to former divisional secretary, Shahrul Azhar Amir.

She also attended a political "reset" event to support deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, who was expelled from Bersatu.

Hamzah was among the casualties when Bersatu recently conducted a purge which resulted in 17 party members, including four MPs and two state assemblymen being sacked for alleged sabotage of the party.

Hamzah’s sacking resulted in the dissolution of various Bersatu divisions nationwide.
