Teresa Kok’s car broken into at Bukit Kiara

KUALA LUMPUR: Teresa Kok’s car was broken into while she was jogging at Bukit Kiara, with her handbag stolen in the incident.

In a Facebook post on Monday (Feb 23), the Seputeh MP said she discovered the break-in when she returned to her car at about 7pm on Sunday.

“When I got back, I found the front passenger-side window smashed. My handbag, which I had placed on the footwell of that seat, was also missing,” she said.

She reported that she lost RM2,000 in cash and angpau money, her identity card, several credit cards and other important documents.

Kok added that she lodged a police report at the TTDI police station shortly afterwards.

She said forensic officers later arrived to photograph the vehicle and lift fingerprints, and she only left the station at around 9.30pm.

“I am very grateful for the cooperation and assistance provided in handling my complaint,” she said.

Meanwhile, Brickfields Deputy OCPD Supt Ahmad Firdaus Mustaffa Kamal said that investigations showed that Kok suffered losses totalling RM6,500.

"Three fingerprints were found on the car and have been sent to Bukit Aman for analysis and identification," he said.

Kok also urged the authorities to install more CCTV cameras in the area, noting that similar incidents have occurred frequently at the park.
