SMALL, bumpy growths began appearing on her skin in early adulthood, yet Wan Noor Azaziah Wan Aziz never let that stop her from stepping out, Metro Ahad reported.
The condition, which started after her schooling years, eventually spread to her face and body.
“I’m not ashamed and don’t isolate myself. I enjoy going out, especially to religious events, even with my face like this,” said the 40-year-old, who is known as Kak Noor.
“I’m not sure what caused this condition but after seeking medical advice in 2019, the doctors said it’s too late for solutions.
“I feel normal. It’s usually children who stare in surprise. Some even fall into drains because they’re too distracted looking at me,” she said.
Kak Noor said that with her spiritual belief she was able to endure any test.
> The daily also reported that Norhafaiza Taib, 48, mistook blurred vision during a boat ride for motion sickness and awoke the next morning to darkness.
“I took motion sickness medication and slept on the boat. But when I woke up the next morning, everything was dark,” said the mother from Kuantan.
“After medical examinations, doctors confirmed that 90% of my optic nerves were damaged. And the chance of recovery through surgery is partial (50%). I had to postpone treatment due to financial constraints,” she added.
Norhafaiza suffers from multiple chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, stage four kidney failure and depression, yet continues to persevere through life.
> A mall in Skudai, Johor Baru, brought in a real pony to usher in the Year of the Horse, bringing cheer to visitors, mainly to the children, Utusan Ahad reported.
Many took the opportunity to get close and take photos with the animal. One visitor said the presence of the pony provided the children with a new experience.
