Malaysia, India committed to strengthening strategic cooperation, says Ramanan


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is committed to broadening strategic collaboration with India for mutual benefit, regional economic progress, and a more inclusive and sustainable future for the people of both countries.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan expressed his appreciation during a farewell courtesy call by High Commissioner of India to Malaysia B.N. Reddy, who is set to conclude his diplomatic service in the country.

"I would like to express my deepest appreciation for his commitment and key role in strengthening the friendship and strategic cooperation between Malaysia and India throughout his tenure.

"The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on the future of cooperation between Malaysia and India, which continues to grow in line with both countries’ status as comprehensive strategic partners,” he said in a Facebook post following the meeting on Monday (May 25).

Ramanan said that throughout his tenure, B.N. Reddy had played a vital role not only in strengthening bilateral cooperation but also in building a relationship of mutual respect and trust between the two countries. – Bernama
