Two injured after tree falls on car in Nilai


NILAI: Two men have been injured after tree fell onto the car they were travelling in.

Nilai OCPD Supt Johari Yahya said the tree fell during heavy rain.

"The incident happened along a stretch leading to a private institution of higher learning at around 5pm on Wednesday (Feb 11).

"Police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel were dispatched to the scene to help," he said.

Supt Johari said firemen managed to free the men who were pinned in their seats.

"They were rescued within 20 minutes and rushed to hospital.

"The passenger has been warded in the red zone while the driver is in the yellow zone," he said adding that doctors were still assessing the extent of their injuries.
