Man, 60, killed as cement mixer crashed into pickup in Sarawak


SIBU: A 60-year-old man died after a cement mixer lorry crashed into his pickup on Jalan Deshon on Tuesday (February 10).

The victim has been identified as Ting Teck Kee.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 12.18pm and immediately dispatched eight personnel from the Sungai Merah Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found the victim unconscious and trapped inside his vehicle.

Attempts to free the victim failed.

The victim was later confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics.

The case has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
