Decomposed bodies of man and woman found in Setia Alam home


KLANG: The decomposed remains of a woman and a man were found in a house in Setia Alam.

According to Shah Alam OCPD ACP Ramsay Embol, police were notified of the incident by a relative of one of the deceased.

"The complainant found the remains of the victim, who was his relative, together with the other victim's remains in his younger sibling's rented house," said ACP Ramsay in a media statement issued early Monday morning (Feb 9).

He added that early investigations by the Selangor police forensic unit found the house closed, with no cars on the premises and the front grille unlocked.

"Both deceased were in a room on the ground floor of the house, and their remains were decomposed," said ACP Ramsay.

He said the house was neat and did not indicate that any criminal activity had taken place.

"There were no injuries on the bodies of both deceased," he added.

ACP Ramsay said the remains were sent to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem.

He added that investigations had been opened under a sudden death report and would be taken over by the head of the Section 6 police station.

The 39-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were estimated by the forensic unit to have been dead for about a week.
