MyDigital ID log-in for MyJPJ app delayed

PETALING JAYA: The MyDigital ID implementation as the sole log-in method for MyJPJ app users aged 18 and above has been postponed to March 1.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) made a brief announcement in a post on Facebook.

Back in November, JPJ announced that MyDigital ID will replace the existing login method for Malaysian users aged 18 and above, effective Feb 1.

It explained back then that users aged below 18 and MyPR cardholders would still be able to log in through the existing method, using a special link that requires their 12-digit MyPR or MyKad number and password.

This is the second postponement of the implementation of MyDigital ID as the sole log-in method for its MyJPJ app.

MyDigital ID was announced as the mandatory login method for the MyJPJ app in October 2024, but implementation was subsequently delayed after Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that the ministry had yet to make a final decision on the matter.

MyDigital ID, developed by Mimos under the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry, is a national identification management system that authenticates users for online transactions and provides access to government services with a single ID.
