A FAMILY in Henan, China, experienced a shocking incident when their pet rabbit bit off their one-year-old’s finger, prompting them to dissect the animal to find the missing digit, reported by Sin Chew Daily.
The incident took place in Zhoukou City when the 19-month-old toddler was playing in the yard while his grandparents were cooking in the kitchen.
Spotting the family’s pet rabbit, the boy picked up an aubergine on the ground and tried to feed the herbivore.
Family members were startled when they heard the child’s screams.
After being unable to find it inside the rabbit, family members eventually stumbled upon the finger in a corner of the rabbit’s cage.
They rushed the toddler to the hospital, and doctors managed to reattach the severed finger.
The boy is reportedly recovering well.
