Zarina Zainuddin mourns ‘younger sis’ Nadia Kesuma

ACTRESS Zarina Zainuddin, 56, paid an emotional tribute to the late Nadia Kesuma, describing her as a younger sister who always valued her advice.

Sharing a screenshot of their final WhatsApp conversation on Instagram, Zarina expressed her deep admiration for Nadia’s kindness and noted the blessing of her passing during the holy month of Rejab, reported Berita Harian.

“I miss Nadia. Whenever I think of her, tears flow... Al-Fatihah for the late Nadia Kesumawati,” she wrote.

The WhatsApp exchanges between the two indicated Zarina had offered advice to Nadia and that the late actress seemed to have accepted warmly.

In their final messages, Nadia had thanked Zarina for her guidance, saying she never felt offended by her sisterly critiques.

“You are truly a good person. How could I ever want to lose such a wonderful sister?” read Nadia’s reply to Zarina.

Since news of Nadia’s death in Jeddah was confirmed by her family last Sunday, tributes have been pouring in from fellow celebrities who knew the late actress.

She was described as a very loving, helpful, generous and cheerful person by fellow artistes.

Her husband Prof Dr Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan Abdullah confirmed she was laid to rest in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Jan 20.
