Tamil school to get new building

SJK(T) Ladang Labu Bhg 4 is set to receive a new building.

The school, which is located in Bandar Seri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan, has been seeing tremendous development, including a growth in the Indian community, said state exco member J. Arul Kumar.

He added that around 3,000 Indian families live in the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the developer who owns the land in the area has agreed to provide six acres for the school. The developer had agreed in principle to build the new school, Makkal Osai quoted Arul Kumar as saying.

The effort, which is expected to take around three years after the land is properly handed over and gazetted, is supported by the school’s board, management and parent-teacher association.

> Authorities in India were confronted with an unusual fraud case after a woman claimed she had been deceived by her husband, a toupee user.

According to Makkal Osai, Lalitha Gupta and her husband were married two years ago in an arranged union.

The man had an apparent full head of hair at the time and the woman did not suspect anything.

He allegedly kept up the pretense throughout their marriage, leaving the woman shocked when she eventually discovered that he was partially bald.

The woman filed a police report against her husband and four of his family members for conning her into marrying him.

She also complained that they had claimed he was a university graduate but turned out to have only a Form Six equivalent education.

It is not clear what form of redress she is demanding.
