Malaysia wins third place at Miss World 2026 in Vietnam


PETALING JAYA:Malaysia's representative Taanusiya Chetty has won the second runner up at Miss World finals in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Taanusiya, who was among the six finalists, also won the Beauty With A Purpose award.

With a background as an educator, the 26-year-old, who is fluent in Malay, English, Mandarin and Tamil, has showcased tarian silat during the pageant.

Malaysia’s best achievement at the Miss World pageant was recorded by Lina Teoh, who finished third in 1998.

Rahimah Orchient Yayah made it into the top 10 in 1994, while Deborah Henry secured a place in the top 16 in 2007.
