Woman allegedly living in KLIA for a year has mental health issues, say cops


SEPANG: A woman who has been allegedly living at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for a year suffers from mental health issues, say police.

KLIA deputy OCPD Supt Albany Hamzah said the woman, who is a local, was detained on Dec 18.

"Checks revealed that the woman holds a card stating she has mental health issues and necessary action has been taken by sending her to Kajang Hospital," he told Malay daily Sinar Harian on Tuesday (Dec 23).

Earlier, footage of the woman having at outburst at KLIA went viral on social media.

In the video, the woman claims she has been eating, sleeping, bathing at the airport.

She also appears irritated with children playing near her.

The woman, who is surrounded by suitcases placed on trolleys, can is also seen confronting another passenger in the video.
