Body found in bag believed to be missing Ampang woman, say cops

SEREMBAN: The body found inside a bag at an abandoned house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas, near here, is believed to be a woman reported missing in Ampang, Selangor, since Dec 8.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the woman's disappearance was reported last Monday at the Ampang police station. The report was later forwarded to the Pedas police station, prompting a search at a house on Jalan Pedas-Linggi.

"During inspection, police discovered a bag containing the woman's body buried at the back of the house," he said on Thursday (Dec 18).

An autopsy is scheduled for on Friday (Dec 19) and police are actively investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and searching for suspects.

Those with any information are urged to provide it to the Rembau police headquarters hotline at 06-685 2222. – Bernama
