Perlis gives RM500 special aid to civil servants

KANGAR: The Perlis government will make a RM500 special payment to state civil servants next month, Mentri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli said on Tuesday (Dec 9).

He said the payment was in recognition of the service and dedication of the civil servants.

"The state government hopes that civil servants will enhance their productivity, efficiency and quality of work in line with the improvements received, so as to provide the best service to the people and strengthen government governance,” he said when tabling the 2026 State Budget in the State Legislative Assembly.

Meanwhile, Mohd Shukri said the restructuring of state civil servants’ salaries under the implementation of the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) Phase 2, effective January 2026, will involve an increase of RM3.28mil. - Bernama
