KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) will submit a memorandum to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition, outlining key policy concerns and proposals, says its president, Datuk Henrynus Amin.
Henrynus said the party remains committed to its core 5-point agenda of championing the rights and welfare of Sabahans, especially natives.
He said the party would go back to the drawing board after a dismal outing in which it lost all the seats it contested in the just-concluded Sabah state elections.
“We will undertake a thorough and objective analysis of the election results, revisit our strategies and reconnect with our grassroots to strengthen the party moving forward,” he said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 30).
Henrynus said Anak Negeri also fully endorses the formation of the GRS government, with Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as chief minister.
“The people have spoken, and their decision reflects their choice for continuity and stability in the state's leadership.
“We respect the democratic process and the clear mandate given to GRS to form the next state government,” said Henrynus.
Anak Negeri had contested 55 seats in the Sabah polls, which were held on Saturday (Nov 29).
GRS won 29 seats, while Warisan won 25.
Barisan Nasional won six seats, Upko won three, Sabah STAR won two, while Parti KDM and Pakatan Harapan had one each.
Five independents also won seats.
Sabah DAP, however, lost all the seats it contested.
